April 16th

Today I wish more than anything I could give some sort of creepy happy birthday greeting to this fine sir below.

I sure miss him! I can't wait for the adventures to come when he comes back home. I can't believe he's twenty today! Buon compleanno Johnny!

Just thinking today...

...about how much I love this boy.

And I can't wait to join him on this climb someday.
I have no idea where it is.

Weekend Reefing...

Last time I visited beautiful Capitol Reef, I got to spend an awesome weekend with some of my favorite people... these lovely ladies.

Capitol Reef hosts some of my best memories of all time, beginning with my outdoor survival and environmental science classes in high school. I loved going to Capitol Reef with my friends, learning about the area, and exploring the wide and windy washes.

Things I'm looking forward to... a road trip... making new memories... showing Scott one of my favorite places in Utah... and making him love it as much as I do...

...and spending the weekend in Capitol Reef with all the same people in these pictures!

She'll be comin' round the moun'ain

A couple days ago we were doing this...

... and loving it! We had the best powder day of our lives! But I must say, I sure love this warm weather, because last night we got to do this...

I love living so close to some of Utah's beautiful mountains! I can't express how wonderful it was to be on top of these peaks, running around in the snow with my best friend. Scott and I decided that these are the moments that keep our friendship strong and growing. These moments help us come home to ourselves. There is nothing better than climbing hilltops with by best friend, talking about everything under the sun. It is so great to take time to have good conversation... while treating our bodies well... while enjoying this gorgeous earth that comes back to life this time of year.

Why do so many people run in a stuffy gym surrounded by noise when the mountains are filled with so many trails, a breeze, and a freshness of smell? (I think free tanning beds are a really big draw. Sad.)

I'm a lucky girl. I married someone who loves everything I do, and I am just now starting to see what a blessing that is because we can share these things together. Scott proposed in the mountains behind our house. We call it "Engagement Hill." It's fun to revisit the specific peak, but all mountains remind me of how our relationship began. I love Scott so much. I'm so grateful for the wonderful life we are so blessed to live.

What a perfect way to spend an evening... or even a quick getaway. And just seconds away!

Headed for the Hills...

...as soon as Scott's off work. I'm hoping to find some of these...

Cause then I know that spring is really on its way. I love Utah sunflowers!

I love where we live in the aves because we're seconds away from a getaway in the mountains. Hiking, biking, running, climbing... it all starts today!

Today is Thursday... Thursday Fish Tacos?

I used to love this book. I still get the song stuck in my head.

Today is Monday

Monday -- string beans

Tuesday -- spaghetti

Wednesday -- soup

Thursday -- roast beef

Friday -- fresh fish

Saturday -- chicken

Sunday -- ice cream

All you hungry children, come and eat it up!

So great to catch up with these two today and eat delicious fish tacos at Red Butte.

I missed Sydney! But it was so great to catch up with Em and Amelia (and Miss Nicki... and Eric).

I'm a big fan of layovers if it means I get to meet my friends for lunch. Amelia and I got a chance to have an excellent catch up at the park in the sun. I always walk away from our conversations feeling like I learned something new. I am a lucky gal to have these girls in my life. I have always been blessed with great friends. Hopefully we'll get a longer reunion sometime this summer. We're overdue for a quads camping trip or boating or something.

Good Morning Good Friday!

I've become a big fan of Good Friday this year. Scott gets to stay home from work today because it is a global holiday! Good Friday! Good to be home in the morning with Scotty! We slept in, woke up in our sunny bedroom, and got excited to see Scott's parents who should be here in about four hours! We're having a lazy morning (I just learned that you get to do that when your house is all clean and you've done all your laundry and grocery shopping... something I've never before experienced). It's so great to be all caught up!

Scott's working on his essays for round two of the Foreign Service exam, and I'm making some granola to stalk up for the week. The last couple days I've gone crazy with my fruit dehydrator drying strawberries, oranges, and bananas. I loved the smell it spread through the house. While we do need more granola, I mostly wanted to make it so our house will smell like maple syrup.

It's so nice to have the time to hang out together, listen to mellow harmonica music, and enjoy our bright and beautiful home! I love Easter! I love Conference! I love my family, and we get to spend this Easter with both sets of parents. I'm so excited!

In other news, and because I am a proud aunt... look at these cute little Easter Bunnies!

Pranks

Scott and I were talking about April Fools jokes yesterday. He cracked a joke about telling me he was pregnant for April Fools. Ha ha ha ha ha ha...

Now I have no joke.

April means...

March is over. That means that I would have gotten home from my mission by now. I can't believe how fast time flies. We've had an amazing year and a half! I am unbelievably grateful for the choice I made to be with Scott. There's no doubt in my mind that I made the right choice sticking with this guy! (I've never doubted it for a second!) My life is so much better than I had ever planned for myself! I'm so happy!

This Really Means a Lot to Me.

Scott and I have had this beautiful picture of the temple framed in our home ever since we got married.

I love it.

My best and most constant friend Emily painted this for us when we got engaged and gave it to us as a Christmas card. We put it in a 4x6 frame in our living room.

Over the past couple weeks, Scott and I have looked for a picture of the temple to frame, one large enough to put on our wall. I haven't seen a single picture of the temple that I like more than this one. It's gorgeous. And it means so much to me that Em would paint it for me. Scott says she could sell it. I know she could... but I kind of like that it was painted just for me!

So tonight I blew it up with my home scanner and printer. And I will now put it in a frame on my wall. Scott wants to take it somewhere special and put it on canvas. Until then, I'm putting up a temporary copy. My crumby printer doesn't really do the painting justice... but every time I look at it, I'll think of Em AND Scott...my two best friends!

With this guy???

Scott had a dinner tonight for work with his grad program, so he's brutally left me to fend for myself on this fine Friday night while he eats delicious steak. Scott and I are one of those freaky couples who spends all of our time together... so I'm trying to figure out exactly what I should do tonight.

Earlier this week, I got Scott a bag of pear jelly bellies to congratulate him on his awesomeness. I gave them to him with the promise that as much as I love them, they are HIS jelly beans and I won't eat em all up in one sitting. I told him to take them to work so they'd be all his.

So he, being the charming and wonderful sir that he is, left for his dinner by smiling and putting his jelly beans in the little communal candy bowl we have by the door. NOOOOOO!!!! All I can think about is the candy... and pray I don't eat them all.

He left me all alone with this guy???

Not circus-ing.

In other news, my amazing Mr. Hannay has had a wonderful week of success! On top of the hard work he puts in during the day and the fun we've been having going skiing and climbing and spending the evenings together (plus Scott had to put up with A LOT of violin this week)... this week Scott heard back from his MBA program with an interview request!!!!! That was supposed to be the great news of the week... but we just found out that he also passed the Foreign Service Exam!!!! On to round two in both! I'm so happy to be married to Scott. I don't know many people who are as well-thought of as Scott is. In our three and a half years of friendship, before and after dating and marriage, I have only heard wonderful things said of him. I am not the only one who thinks the world of this boy.

I'm so proud of him! All this... AND he can juggle!

Circus-ing

I sure love this boy.

I may risk offending everyone...

or whoever the heck reads these things...

But I am HAPPY it is snowing right now.

Scott and I have one more day at Snowbird... and that day is TOMORROW! I couldn't be happier about the weather than I am right now! And for everyone out there who is infuriated by the fluffy, white visitor (I'm talking to the nap-takers on BYU campus who are all tanning on the grass outside the Wilk)... calm down! Spring will come, and it will be warm. And then summer will come and it will be hot! It happens every year! There will be plenty of time for sunshine! Eat your cadbury eggs inside. Get some tulips for your kitchen table. It can be spring inside your home. But March, in my opinion, is still fair game for snow!

Happy...

St. Patty's Day AND Happy Birthday to my second mom! Scott called you this morning at 5:30 your time (6:30 our time... he was just getting to work) so he could be the first to tell you happy birthday! I was kind of mean and pointed out that Margy had been up in New York for two hours longer than we had been up, so she might have been the first one. But then I felt bad about saying that, and I hope you enjoyed your birthday message from your son! Happy Birthday, Lynne! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Lynne happens to share this day with my cute cousin Lizzie (on the right). Happy birthday Lizzie! I think she turns eleven today. I can't believe how old these girls are getting! I have the cutest cousins! I just have the best family in general! This picture is from our wedding.

Schtuff.

We had such a fun weekend. We did a lot of getting our house organized(yes... so we've lived here since November... but it's always a work in progress to put everything together).

Friday Eric came down to our place. It was really fun to catch up with him, and he was a good sport to put up with me doing all my little house projects.

We spent almost all of Saturday at Momentum working out and climbing. We were certifying on the lead wall and learned that Scott needs to skip his first anchor all the time or else I'll get sucked into it when he takes a fall. That was a good lesson to learn. Saturday night we went down to Provo to hang with Adam, Beckah, Matt, Loral, and Andrew.

Sunday we were able to go up to Kirsten and Nick's for beautiful Sarajane's blessing. When we came back from the blessing, we had a fabulous Sunday nap, booked our flights for our summer trips, and made some curtains for our living room. Sounds fun, huh?

Sarajane Evans

So glad this happened too...
Sarajane is such a beautiful baby! She was so sweet throughout her entire blessing. I have never heard her fuss at all, now that I think of it. When Kirst and I were getting her into her dress (the same one Kirst and I both wore when we were blessed... oh so sentimental we are...), I showed Sarajane what she looked like in the mirror and told her how pretty she looked. She just started smiling at herself. I couldn't help but laugh. Such a girl.

Andrew does not keep still! It's so hard to catch a picture of him! He was putting on a concert for all of his cousins, grandparents, siblings, and aunts and uncles. He put the crown on his head and said, "Now I'll be in charge!" As if he wasn't already the center of attention. He is such a funny kid.

Ben and Scott are two boys who never fail to make me laugh! I can't stop watching Ben to see what he'll do next. And I love watching Scott be such a great uncle. I just love this whole family!

Congrats Kirst and Nick! Hopefully this will tie you over until I put these pictures on your computer for you.

Does anyone know why the picture format gets so wacky sometimes?

Trips

Scott and I are already getting excited about the fun trips we have coming up.

We're doing our annual river trip this May. Last year we were on the Grand. The year before that was the Rogue (not to mention, I lived on a river for four months). We'll be running the Jarbidge River in Idaho with our good river friends. I hope to see everyone... Chuck, Jim, Jeremy, Nelson, Sherri, Sam, Rob... and many other old and new friends! It's so fun to get everyone together from so many parts of the country. I need to look into the kayaking possibilities of this river... because it'd be so fun for Scott and me to make our way down this river in our little yaks instead of a raft.

In June we're off to San Diego/LA area for a weekend for Robbie and Kelley's wedding. This is going to be such a fun party; we are so excited for them! It'll be the perfect time to get together with all our good Santa Barbara friends and celebrate with everyone. The surf isn't up to par for Scott during the summer... but maybe we'll be able to hit some good Lindsey waves so I can practice... in warm water!

We'll make our way up to Canada in July. Scott's half-brother John is getting married in Vancouver. We're making a good trip out of this one. We'll get to spend time with Scott's extended family, people he hasn't seen in years! I'm excited to meet everyone, see the city where Scott was born, and explore the whole area with Scott. He's so excited. He already has a list of things to do and people to high-five while we're there. I can't wait! Everyone knows I'd be down with living in Canada.

I'm hoping we pull together our trip to Israel this Christmas. We have just enough vacation time from work to make all these trips happen... so hopefully we can handle getting everything planned and put together. we'll be going to Israel with Scott's parents, Lynne and Rick; Scott's sister Margy and her husband Oliver; and Scott's Uncle John and Aunt Jana and their four kids. Hopefully we get everything organized because it would be the most amazing opportunity and good timing!

Despite my love of winter... we're ready to move on into the sunshine so we can bike, hike, climb, and take all these fun trips!

Dear Other Mean Neighbor,

Or punk kid driving past my house...

Please don't egg my car again. The Jeep and I have been through a lot lately. You're kind of sucking the fun out of life.

Ski Ski Ski...

Okay. I'm not ready to put my winter clothes away just yet. This is a gorgeous storm! (But winter can go away after Saturday.)

Thursday, March 4, 2010

By the way

Today is a sentence. March Forth!

Dear Mean Neighbor,

I have wondered for a few weeks now whether or not I really go through that much fuel going to Sandy every day. I found it hard to believe that I had to fill up so often. Jeeps aren't cheap.

Yesterday I drove home from work, got home around five, and left the house again around seven. It seems I've underestimated your stealth because somehow within that short time frame when everyone is coming home from work, you managed to siphon out ALL of the gas from my car, leaving me on empty. Thank you for being so classy.

Just to let you know, my car will be parked in the garage until I can find the time to purchase a key-locked gas cap. Great... another key. Hopefully this will steer you away from your evil-doings.

Stupidest thievery ever. Who steals gas out of a car?

When Monstro clears out.

I think things like this:

Ready for rivers.
And summer.
And sun on my skin.

You know you love your friends when their blog update is titled "Burp Cloths" and you're still dying to read it to see what's new. I love you, Lar!

Ready to go to Vancouver.
And surf.
And hike.
And climb outside.

Ready to write in my journal more often (and guilt-ridden for slacking).
Ready to cook an artichoke for my dinner tonight.
Ready to take a nap. But not planning on it. But I should.

I love living in a home with no TV. Though my friends at work think I'm an alien, I love my quiet little life with Scott (does anyone out there who knows me believe for a second that our life is actually quiet?). I love not having noise. I love not having TV blaring in the background, and I love that Scott and I spend all our together time actually interacting instead of plopped on a couch staring at a screen. We read together. We play music together. We look each other in the eye when we talk. (I know that for a lot of people, TV is a great way to spend time together. I'm not putting anyone down!)

Ready to store my winter clothes at mom's house (pretty pretty please?)
Ready to start taking a daily vitamin (Kirsten's preaching)
Ready to start writing letters. I need to visit Target. Is there a target nearby?

If I were to write a story right now, what would I write about (not for lack of ideas, but for an inability to decide which one to start.)
I wish I had the box set of all the seasons of Friends.
I want to build a closet organizer.
I should probably print some wedding pictures (more than one year later).
I would love to make a quilt. It's been a while.

Would brownies made with black beans really taste normal?
Why don't I put lotion on my hand anymore?
How can I clean the little underside of the diamond in my wedding ring.
Wow... what a beautiful ring.
I love Scott. So glad he's mine.

Now I can't think about anything else.

Ain't gwine drink a no more, no more...

Run here mama, run here quick. That old fool liquor has made me sick. Ain't gwine drink a no more, no more... ain't gwine drink a no more.

Stuck in my head. Always.

Except the few times my brain can't stop singing about Monstro the Whale.

Down on the bottom of the ocean, someone has caused a big commotion, a whale of a whale, and Monstro is his name....
He's the despair of all the whalers; oh what a scare he gives the sailors, better beware or he'll give you the same...
When he was just a little fellow Monstro was precocious. Now he can snort and spout and bellow, and he's so ferocious...
Who can make the jellyfish shake and make the sharks go pale? It's the undersea public enemy of Monstro the Whale.

Why? Why fifth grade? Why?

I Know

I'm staying with my cousins for a few days while their parents are in Hawaii.

I know I'm getting old because it's 11:15 on a Friday night and I'm waiting up for my two cousins (senior and sophomore in high school) to get back from hanging with their friends. And I am really struggling to hold out. DEAD TIRED. I'm fantasizing about how nice it would have been to have gone to bed at 9:30 when my eleven-year old cousin Emma went to bed.

It's the same feeling I had a couple months ago when I was at the Gateway with my mom. She had some American Eagle credit left over from before Johnny left on his mission. I walked into the store with my mom. Scanned the room in an instant, and turned to my mom and said, "I'm old, aren't I?"

I keep thinking, "Maybe I should call their phones and see when they'll be back." Lame cousin! Lame cousin! Then I think, "That car sounded pretty nearby. I wonder if that was them getting dropped of."

How late to kids stay out? I forget.

Mom, I appreciate your many many years of sleep deprivation. Thank you.

My wife = my best friend!

Although Lindsey is my wife, she is actually much more than that. Perhaps you are wondering how she could be any more than a wife to me, because that in itself is a huge undertaking, so let me tell you why. Lindsey fulfills every role possible in my life to me, not because I am incapable or incompetent (although, when compared to her in some things, that isn't far form the truth), but because she loves me endlessly. She is my editor, my cook, my smile, my warmth, my laugh, my postman, my health consultant, my email adviser, my calendar, my reminder, my high-five, my crush, my lobster, my radio (she knows every song ever written by heart, if you want to see something amazing ask her to act the entire Music Man play out and she can do it, from beginning to end!), my Valentine's candy heart, my Easter Bunny and the list goes on. She satiates my intellectual needs, my curious questions, my profound ponderings and completes my thoughts. She would argue me on these points, but what I am saying is absolutely the truth. She would do anything for me anytime, anywhere. She would even follow me all over the world in chase of my dreams. Most of all, she is my best friend. I can't imagine my life without her, and to be honest, I am not sure how I even managed without her. Lindsey, you deserve a standing ovation from the world in my eyes! Thank you for being my best friend! Thank you for your endless love! I love you!!

Five Minutes

I dropped Scotty off for his hour and a half massage and walked over to Whole Foods to use their internet while I waited for him to finish. I was so excited for him... and a little envious. So I walked upstairs in Whole Foods, immediately greeted by the man at the little massage chair station with a happy sign saying "Free Massage." I ignored the words that were placed in between the two words because the sign actually said, "Free Five Minute Massage." Five minutes or not... free massage sounded pretty good. I've seen this little stand a million times but never thought twice about stopping. But the massage therapist made eye contact with me before I was even completely up the stairs and asked me if I wanted a free massage. I thought about what Scott was going to be doing for the next hour and a half, and I thought, "Yeah! I'd like a massage for five minutes." When it was over, I felt fantastic! Best five minutes of the day!

Tick Tock...

I had one of the happiest and rarest pleasures of my life this morning. It was really several pleasures in one!

I got to sleep in this morning until eight (I usually get up at 6 when Scott gets up for work. I have a problem sleeping in while Scott gets up for work. It's just not nice!)

I got to wake up next to Scott with the sun shining through our windows (we have the brightest bedroom!). This is especially nice for Scott since he never sees the sunlight!

And then I got to make my husband breakfast and listen to NPR while cleaning up the kitchen. It was so nice to have all this time in the morning to spend time together and get the house organized so the mess isn't waiting for me when I come home. I love having Scott home in the morning!

This morning I dropped Scotty off to take his long-awaited GMAT!!! I'm at work... just five short minutes from where he's testing... and I can't wait to see him! I know he's doing great! It's been an hour.... tick tock tick tock....

I got Scotty a gift card for a 1 1/2 hour massage today that he's going to go get today. I love getting Scott gifts... books... musical instruments... always things for him to DO. The problem is, though, that Scott always has too much to DO. So maybe by giving him gifts of things to DO I'm just making his list longer. I've noticed that it's hard for him to relax, because he's always thinking about the next thing on his list that he needs or wants to do. I love that about him! But he's been working so hard with the GMAT that I wanted to find a way to give him the gift of time, instead of adding things to do to his list. So I'm thrilled that Scott's going to go get a massage and spend an hour and a half thinking about... nothing! For a day that is usually not so bright, this Monday is shaping up to be a fantastic day!

Because I think I can relate a bit. Can you?

(Oh the joys of Pandora... and a husband's great discoveries!)

I saw a hippie girl on 8th avenue
She barely looked at me for a second or two
and I suddenly realized I no longer looked much like a hippie
mmmmm

She had a long thin dress and rainbow clothes
not long ago I wore one of those
but now-a-days I guess I don't very much
like anything
mmmmm

I had a great pair of bell-bottoms
I had two
my friend borrowed one
and the other I outgrew
and now to the eye
I'm turning into another
non-descript guy

But I still travel light
and my hair is still long
and I still hate deodorant
and I still sing songs
but over the years I've noticed
I'm not dressing as colorfully and psychedelic as I used to

Cause I wore my tye-dyes
until they rotted to shreds
and I can no longer follow
The Grateful Dead
and it's gotten to the point where I don't even identify with most Phish fans anymore

And someday soon I know I'll cut my hair
and a week after that I know I won't even care
Is that what it all comes to
all along
everything that you feel
will one day feel wrong

I was talking to my friend Eric
just to see what he thunk
and he said
'Jeff, it's weird
but I no longer look like a punk'
I guess we don't need our clothes
for an identity crutch
and we looked at each other
and we didn't look like much
and we looked out at the world
like a movie theater
at all the hippies and the punks
and the skinheads and the skaters
and someday or other
maybe sooner or later
they'll come to the realization
that what's important is what you can carry on
in human conversation
and it's not what you wear on the outside
it's what you think and feel on the inside.

(except the part about Phish fans, of course)

Just got back

from a wonderful evening concert featuring a skilled classical violinist (name on program... downstairs... too far... Cho Chiang Lian, I think) up at the Gardner Hall.

During the Stravinsky I was thrilled, excited, tapping along with my fingers as if I actually knew the fingering patterns myself.

All I could think about was going home after the concert and marching right to my violin and busting out an old de Beriot.

During the Brahams, I started to get sleepy. Sleepy during Brahams... very predictable. "I can beat this urge to curl up on Scotty's shoulder and 'rest my eyes' as my dad always says when he claims he's not actually sleeping." Nope. By the second movement my heavy eyes are to the point where opening them and exposing them to any light would give me a serious shock. I'm not sleeping, but I'm not tap-tapping with my fingers.

All I could think about was going home after the concert and marching right to my bed and busting out the deepest and longest slumber in my Lindsey history.

So of course now I'm blogging. And listening to Jeffery Lewis sing "I Saw a Hippie Girl on 8th Avenue." My, how the night has morphed.
went for a run.
now i'm hacking up a lung.
i'm ready for the sun.
winter running is no fun.

Chin Chin and Muck Muck

Our V Day weekend was fantastic.

How could it not be when it started out on Saturday with a little of this from my sister.

This is what sisters are for. For those of you who don't get along with your sisters and don't understand what sisters are for, I'll help you... this is it. This is what they're for. I'm so happy I have one who can appreciate these things and feels the need to call me THE INSTANT she discovers something truly this fantastic. "Two tickets to that thing you love... I'm on a horse."

Friday was an ordinary day with work and studying. Saturday started out pretty ordinary too with a lot of studying, laundry, grocery shopping, and getting everything clean so we could enjoy the weekend (I'm a Saturday morning cleaner). As the evening got closer, we started getting ready to go out for sushi and to the symphony (thanks to my wonderful parents who gave us the tickets). Scott was in heaven because he loves sushi. I was in heaven because I love Dvorchak. We had a great time.

After the symphony, we went home and celebrated Valentines Day the best way ever... by being together! Things have been so crazy lately that neither of us can remember the last time we were able to really spend time together. We're always together, you know, but we haven't been able to sit together and really spend time together lately without reading or studying or making lists. Scotty and I had a $20 limit for our gifts this year. I got Scott a harmonica, along with a book on how to play it and a capo for his guitar. I love hearing the lonesome sound of the harmonica in our apartment. It's so fun to watch him start putting songs together. It'll also be fun to take the harmonica on river trips and hikes and stuff. I'm so grateful Scott is so musical! Scott got me a couple beautiful rings and a bunch of songs on itunes from my favorite singer. And the romantic part of the evening was dancing to a Devendra song called "Chin Chin and Muck Muck (I do not endorse the lyrics, just the tune... as usually is the case with Devendra. The guy's a creep)." Man, I love this kid more and more every day. We spent the evening playing a bunch of our favorite songs on violin and guitar with martinelli's, chocolate covered strawberries, and delicious popcorn Hannay stove-top style.

Sunday morning was consisted of a delicious breakfast of oven-french toast... that was so sweet that we both could barely handle it! Neither of us sugar people, and this was a little much. After church we spent the evening at my parents' house celebrating Nick's birthday and Valentines Day. My parents were so nice sending us home with flowers, chocolates, and of course delicious leftovers. They take good care of us. It was so fun to watch some of the Olympics too. What could be a more romantic V Day than mocking the outfits of male figure skaters?

Thanks to the fancy counter at the bottom of our blog, I found out that Scott and I have been married one year... one month... one week... and one day! Wow. What's that anniversary? Copper? Should I give Scott a penny?

Four!

I guess V Day weekend means engagements! Congrats to my four fabulous friends and their new fiances!

Sarajane and Richie! He took her skydiving to propose! Both these friends went to East (Soj and I are ward buddies). They've been together for a long time! I can't wait for their wedding!

Natalie and Josh! I've haven't met Josh yet, but Stucki is THE COOLEST person! A river guide friend from day one. I can't wait for their wedding either!

Heidi and John. Heidi was one of my favorite hall-mates from freshman year. I haven't met John, but he's a lucky guy. Heidi will keep him laughing all the time.

Cameron and Suzanne! I don't know Suzanne, and I haven't actually seen Cameron in about a year (high school friend), but I've always thought the world of him. Suzanne's a lucky girl and I'm excited for them!

Congrats to all the February Engagements! I love seeing my friends so happy!

In other news, Scotty and I had a wonderful V Day ourselves. I'll have to catch up on all that a bit later. Time to head to work!
