Once Upon a Time... Again.

Once Upon a Time (again), Peter turned two. It was a beautiful Labor Day, and we were surrounded by many of the people who make our lives so wonderful. As Scott thanked everyone for coming, he told them that he couldn't believe how many family members came together to celebrate this very loved little boy. We have the most supportive family. They have been by us through everything our family has experienced... those who were at the party plus many others! We are so grateful to be the recipients of so much love! Peter and Brooklyn will always know how near and dear these family members are to our little Hannay family.

Peter had a swim party at "Jamma Joan" and "Jampa George's" house like last year. It is a fun way to tie up the summer with one last dip in the pool. We had a great time! It's been a month since these pictures were taken, but I wanted to make sure they made it on our family blog so we can remember this special day. We sure love our sweet Pete. He is such a light in our family!

Peter helped me make his cupcakes. He is actually a good little helper! He is always wanting to help me with whatever I'm doing, especially if it involves Brooklyn. He loves to take care of his sister.

I stayed in my grubbies most the day...so ignore the exciting stripe combo below.

This baby girl loves her grandpa! She is always so content when hanging out with Grandpa Dave!

SJ is Peter's best buddy. It's fun for me to watch them play, because they are the same age-gap that Peter is with Brooklyn. It'll be so fun to have Peter be so close in age as they get older. SJ is so sweet with Peter and is always trying to help take care of him. Peter sometimes asserts his independence, but more often that not he loves the attention from his cousin.

Brooklyn LOVES her cousin Sarah! They were best buddies through most the party! Cute Sarah is one of my heroes, and I am so grateful Brooklyn and Peter will always have her as a wonderful example!

We were so happy that Grampa Rick and Gramma Lynne were able to come to town for Peter's birthday! It made it extra-special to be able to spend so much time with them.

The homemade fishing pole and fish was a huge hit. Thank you Aunt Kirsten! But Peter wasn't content to do it on the ground. He knows that you go fishing in the water, so the fish ended up in the pool pretty quickly after he opened them up!

Brooklyn with her grandmas! Brooklyn, they love you SO much!

This little boy was the last one in the pool. He had so much fun and definitely felt special!
