Yellow

If there was ever a baby girl who could rock a bright yellow outfit, it's this girl.
Thank you Aunt Kim for keeping our baby girl so well-dressed! We absolutely feel your love and know you are thinking of us all the time.

Brooklyn Rose, we adore you.

Have I mentioned yet how grateful I am to hang out with these kiddos all day?
Best job ever.
I laugh all day long at number one, and smile all day long at number two.
I love to snuggle them both.
Ideally, at the same time.

Just when I think life is as good as it gets (and usually as chaotic as it gets), this guy pulls up on his bike. Thanks for living life with me, Scott! I think we have a pretty great one. I love you!

The little skirt with B's outfit got wet so we went with the white leggings. First time wearing them and it might be the last! This little girl is getting some chub! I love it! Now how can we get Peter to pack on some pounds?

Donut Falls

We had a lot of fun last week hiking Donut Falls with our favorite birth mom. It was the one coolish/overcast day we have had in weeks, so it felt so great to get out and get moving a little bit. We love spending time with Brooklyn's birth mom, and we were are so happy she likes to hike! It's our favorite way to hang out! Scott carried Peter, and Krista carried Brooklyn. I was really confused as to what I should do! I kept thinking I forgot something on the trail!

Best.

Outside and Family.

Outside with Family is best.

This cabin is a really, very, extremely, wonderful idea. :)

Big Pete. Little Pete.

We celebrated Pioneer Day with Peter and Brooklyn's grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins at the new family cabin! We are so excited for all the fun times to come! Thank you mom and dad for your love, generosity, and for ALWAYS prioritizing your family above all else. We feel your love constantly, whether we are together or apart. Watching our kids play together and with you is our favorite thing.

Photobooth Phun

Sometimes we have lazy mornings filled with photobooth. Peter thinks it's the greatest thing ever.

Hey Peter, What Are You Doing Down Here?

When I went down to check on him, he was hiding in his little tent with a big, fluffy blanket, his cozy dog pillow, and a huge stack of books.

I love him.

We Can't Even Handle the Cuteness

Beautiful Brooklyn Rose has been part of our family for almost eleven weeks. I'm not very good at doing monthly posts with all the stats, but I wanted to say a few words about our favorite baby girl.

She is amazing. Absolutely stunningly beautiful. She is the sweetest baby with the most genuine and expressive smile. She smiles all the time!

Peter was such an easy-going, chill baby. We always thought we were spoiled with him, and we were prepared to never have it that good again. And then we met Brooklyn. We are so blessed with such a sweet, sweet girl. She loves to explore on her tummy (she lasts way longer than her brother ever did), and she is really starting to love playing in her little bouncer chair. She keeps trying to whack the little toys I hang from the bar above her. Sometimes I catch her just giggling at them on her own. She has been sleeping through the night for about a month, and she is so relaxed and happy in the day. I have had the most wonderful time getting to know her these last few months. Our family is so blessed to have this angel in our family.

Breakfast Time

Yogurt, yogurt everywhere.
Down his shirt and in his hair.

And this darling baby girl is working so hard on holding that head up. She's getting pretty good!

More Tetons. More?

One of my favorites about Peter's current stage is how he says the word "more." It is so cute! He gets these big eyes and this little grin, looks up at me and says "more" like it's a secret. "More? More!" More also means "different" or "the other one."It cracks me up.

Anyway. Scott just downloaded the pictures from his iphone of our trip to the Tetons. I wanted to be sure to include these memories in our family record. So... MORE Tetons!

At the pizza place on our way out of town. We can always count on Peter loving his pizza. We had the most refreshing rainstorm while we were eating that gave way to an amazing hail storm. Scott was checking the truck for dents.

A little blurry, but I love this picture. The sunglasses were the main bribery on this trip. Peter would do just about anything if I whipped the shades out of the bag.

We are Colter Bay amateurs. We had never been before, but we are so excited to go back again and again. It was so much fun. We didn't know what we were doing, so we kind of wandered around for a while... maybe lost each other for about a half hour :)... and then finally found a fun place to swim with the kids. Our kids, however, were both sound asleep when we got there! So we waited their naps out in the shade and then had some fun once they woke up. In the future, we'll come prepared with beach toys, towels, umbrellas, etc... but this was a pretty fun first trip to Colter Bay.

We stayed in little cabins by Jackson Lake Lodge, and had so much fun going on hikes and taking in the breathless view. This is such a beautiful part of the world. I loved seeing Peter so content to be there and stare at the mountains along with us. I loved to hold Brooklyn close to me as she experienced the spirit I feel when I'm there with me for the very first time. I can't wait until next summer when she's walking!

BEAR!

Our photographer cut out the Tetons...?

The ferry ride across Jenny Lake to hike Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. Peter's 2nd time; Brooklyn's 1st.

We bent the binkie rule for this hike. Peter hasn't used his binkie (except bedtime) for the past six months. But this hike was right during nap time, and Peter was such a trooper. He and his sister both slept through the majority of the hikes. It was so nice!

Peter had his fingers in his mouth the entire trip. It kind of gave me anxiety when I thought about all the things he was touching with those hands, but we did our best to stay germ-free. Shortly after returning from our trip, we noticed two big molars popping through his gums. This is going to sound terrible, but I forgot he still had some teething to do! He got most his teeth so early on, that I forgot we still had four to go!

Some more pictures from Jackson Lake and Signal Mountain. It was idyllic.

We were so happy to have Espen along for the last part of our trip! He is the best cousin to me and uncle to Peter and Brooklyn. Uncle? Are we going with uncle? Anyway, thanks for joining us Espen! Sorry about that night (we now know Peter was teething).  :)

This was minutes after we got home. We were so happy to be welcomed by warm July rain instead of the hot 100+ temperatures we left behind (they were back before we knew it). Peter and Scott celebrated our return with a jig.

Home again, home again jiggity jig.

The Tetons and Home. Pretty much my two favorite places ever.
