After the waterfalls, the next stop on the way to Whistler was a quick visit to Olympic Park. It was really fun to imagine what it would have been like to be there in all the excitement. I remember the Olympics in SLC eight years ago, and it was such a cool energy!
Scott and I had an ongoing contest in Canada... whoever saw the most Inukshuks during our trip won! It was a contest without much to it because there was no prize for winning, and we lost track of all the little dudes.
You would too.
Scott is thinking of entering in an Olympic event, but has not yet decided which. But he practiced with the pros and is quitting his day job so he can fully dedicate himself.
Unfortunately, our first day of Whistler was the day a huge fire nearby started blowing our way. It was smoky the whole time. But it cleared up in a day or two, and we ended up loving our time at the resort.
We loved our rental Subaru! I took this standing through the sun roof after taking pictures of some bears on the side of the road. These were the first bears we saw in Canada, but there were plenty more to come.
Mama Bear and two cubs. I wish we had a better zoom on our camera.
