100 Years of Cleo

It's July... sounds like a good time to post about May, right?

We were able to take a memorable and long-awaited trip to Canada in May. It had been five years since our last trip, and our kids had never met their Great-Grandma Cleo. The first year of Peter's life was a bit of a lost year, travel wise, due to my health postpartum, and we knew we wanted to tackle Calgary in warmer weather. So we planned to go last May, when plans changed with the miraculous arrival of Brooklyn that month. We put a big red circle on the month of May 2014, and fixed the trip in our minds. What we didn't know then was that Scott's family would join us for a celebration of Cleo's 100th birthday. It was such a wonderful time to spend together as a family, and it was remarkable to celebrate 100 years of such an amazing woman.

So we had a party! A One-and-One-Hundred party, to also celebrate Brooklyn and her cousin Everett turning one that month. We had so much fun with Margy, Oliver, and their little guy Everett. Peter and Brooklyn love their cousin, and we are always excited to spend time together.
