Scott and I have to make a stop at Lake Harriet (or Lake Calhoun... or both!) once a weekend. It is our favorite. We love walking, running, and biking around the lake with our kids. The kids love it too. There is a park/playground every two feet, it seems, so Peter and Brooklyn have a blast stopping along the way to climb, swing, and slide. There are beaches all around the lake, but we haven't really done the beach thing out there. The beaches close to our house are a little more kid-friendly and less crowded. I love spending the morning or afternoon like this, getting lunch or lemonade at the little restaurant by the dock. We are having a lot of fun with the newness of Minnesota, and there's so much more we want to do! We are soaking up every inch of summer before it turns chilly. We don't know when exactly that happens. I saw coats for sale at Costco where summer jammies usually are...
